2002 coupe
Just joined Forum today. Purchased 02 coupe last year. Had high mileage but in great condition. Just reached 100,000 miles (167K). Would appreciate hearing from members as to what I should focus on for my 100,000 mile inspection. Car is running great, no problems to date.

Welcome Ron -- glad to have you along and congrats on the '02.

I'll let our local guru Manny (Nasty98) comment on where to concentrate the maintenance on your ride. He'll know of any potential issues and where to look.

Let's see some pics. We'd love to see the new ride.

Hi Ron , congrats on your C5 purchase .

My suggestion would be to do the following :

Full fluid change : Oil/trans (filter kit if its an auto)/diff/power steering /brake fluid/coolant

We do this service for $600.00 taxes included

This will freshen all the major moving parts .

Next I would look at all your electrical grounds . I have a post up on this forum on how to do this .

That should do it :D

Congrat on your purchase Ron. This is definitely my personal favourite year. I agree with Manny that this service work should be performed if for nothing other than some peace of mind future motoring.
I would endorse having this work performed by Manny has his corporate headquarters in Cambridge. I realize that this is a little hike from Whitby but with his experience of the C5's, you would be well challenged to find a better qualified and experienced shop.
Manny has serviced both my current ride as well as my past vette and I have always been greeted and treated with honesty and integrity and with a genuine passion for his craft. This is the hallmark of a true professional!
Hope we cross paths this upcoming season - (maybe at Manny's for a little service work).

Thanks everyone for the advice. Manny, the GM manual indicates that the plugs and leads s/b replaced. Is that something you would recommend doing?

Yes , for sure , I was going to mention that as well.
It would add another $185.00 to the total .

I am Changing spark plugs at 100,000 miles. Any suggestions as to brand/type etc would be helpful

You can use the factory spec AC/delco or upgrade to a set of the NGK TR55

Either set will do you just fine .
