Here's Ronny's lap in the C7 Z06 from around 6 years ago:
Jordan Taylor's lap in the C8R from last year:
I always wondered how they adjusted for "Balance of performance". One has to wonder how they figure that stuff out.I found it interesting that the Z06 topped out at 156 mph which is 251 kph, and last years C8R video before the 99.2 lbs of lead in the doors for Balance of Performance dead weight this year topped out at 252 kph. The race car just seems to have so much more grip and speed in the corners compared to the Z06 with the Cup 2's.

Murray it's pretty simple, you win early in the season at Daytona or Sebring and get ready for penalties.I always wondered how they adjusted for "Balance of performance". One has to wonder how they figure that stuff out.
Which is impressive programming by Chevrolet.looked like he was not shifting manually, letting the transmission handle it?
I was at CTMP doing the Ron Fellows track evening session with the Niagara Corvette Club. Ron’s son mentioned that his dad was advised to not shift manually via the paddles and let the computer shift the transmission! What a blast we had driving through torrential downpours (not!). However it was good to test the vehicles handling capabilities on the wet track. I drove a manual Camaro, CT5V Blackwing automatic AND had the good fortune to drive a Z06! This car is absolutely freakin amazing!! I highly recommend getting a group of 18 together and doing this event!Which is impressive programming by Chevrolet.
