Hey folks,

Newbie here. I have been a huge fan of corvettes since I was 18. Now in my early 30's and excited to order the new C8 Corvette. Can anyone recommend a good dealership and person in the Montreal area? Looking to place an order in March (2020 or 2021 depending on availability).

Good luck my friend i am in Laval and give 2 deposits at different dealers, 1st in Sainte-Juilie 2nd Saint-Jérôme, and believed me you are buying a GM product without any available information for delivery, both of the dealers says the samething, nothing they know nothing, like all the dealers they will tell you in 22 for sure you have to give your deposit and wait be patient to and you will know nothing , sellers from Qc are not interested to inform you , they want their commissions datsit give deposits thank's we will call you one day wtf , me i will take news this month and maybe move out depending of what they said , GM should do more for dealers they dont in Canada we are 10% of their sales they do not care about us.

I think you'll be shopping for a 2021. good luck! I've had my reservation for years lol

This is exactly my problem with Quebec dealers. No customer service culture. I got a dm from an Ontario dealer who is active here and has a great reputation. Happy to buy out of province than deal with crappy dealers... 😡

I think i will do the same as you buy in another province sellers from Qc are lazy one's , i do not care to wait when i have a contract signed in hand with a date of delivery on it , this way i am sure to get the products, one more things i know dealers here have 2 or 3 credits and lots of them, presidents and vice-presidents took the credits for themselves to get the C8 , they fools us to bad business attitudes.

You have to find a dealer that provides you with clear information. EJ is a good example. I'm in ontario, I have had deposits at two different dealers since August last year, still not sure I will get a 2020. Very frustrating, not all the dealers fault, GM bears some responsibility. Should not have to navigate and research the top selling dealers that may not be anywhere close to where you live.

Placed deposit 1 day after the reveal with a reputable dealer.
They got the allocation estimate days later & informed me where I fell on the list.
How's GM at fault :Confused5:

I would have to agree with this. GM does everything they can to ensure dealerships are well-educated and have some sort of consistency across all regions. The truth is, all dealerships are franchised and therefore independently responsible for how they take care of business. It's sad that most end up dropping the ball on regular occurrences.

C8Liz, you found the right dealer and salesmen, lucky you!
I have had so many different stories from salesmen in regards to ordering a C8, at a number of different GM dealerships. GM does not seem to choose to have oversight over these communications. I understand the dealers are franchises and they operate as independent business entities, however and for success, there needs to be Management (GM) oversight to ensure the process is consistent. Simply my 2 cents, not trying to change the world. lol
