Dont see the need for this type of item on a C8. As indicated you can drive in Manual mode which will lock out AFM or you can program Z mode to to track mode shifting and lock out AFM.
For those who are not aware some feel the AFM causes lifter problems. Another topic of discussion.
I’m with Jack and drive in M - much more enjoyable.
