Question

The blinding part is absolutely true, especially when 90% of the vehicles up here are pickups.
You notice during the day that you sit below door handles of most Suv and trucks but at night it’s headlights right in your eyes.

One feature I love is being able to turn off all the lights in the cabins including displays when it’s pitch black. I wish more cars had that.

Find them ok ... could be better ... I have pretty heavy tint so night driving is a bit challenging anyway .
Tint is illegal in the NWT except for rear windows. I would like to tint the top bit of the windshield but the Bylaw jockeys here are vicious.

Just a question, and no offence intended, but how tall are you guys who are tinting the top of the windshield? I’m only 6ft and if I tinted that area I wouldn’t be able to see properly out the front
You must have the chair high!

In toronto tint is also illegal ... but cops have never bothered me ...

I have a 20 % tint on the passenger and driver window ... and night driving darkens the cockpit noticeably . Driving is a bit tougher but still very doable.

Lol that’s like driving with sunglasses at night and saying your headlights aren’t bright enough

However the front windshield is clear . And I'm not sure about other Vettes but on my C8 the headlights are mounted on the front of the car:p

Have no idea about the science behind it but I doubt that having the side windows tinted would affect forward vision ... sunglasses or not .:D

My comment was in joking response to someone else posting about windshield tint- accidentally put it as a response to you. No offence meant

My comment was in response to the other post about a tinted windshield making nighttime visibility suboptimal
Im just teasing :p My C8 is a 21, when it landed at the dealer I had them tint the windows including the front windsheild at 50%

They actually did the windshield for free ...tried it for a month ... and actually removed the tint on the windshield myself ... great for during the day to help block UV rays .

But a bit annoying at night, so out it came . In pitch dark conditions , with a clear windshield , I find I use the high beams ... and find myself in visual bliss :)

Probably because I'm now over 40 and require reading glasses . :Hurray::D:Cheers2:

Absolutely no offence taken .

So it was you who had the tinted windshield! Man, I thought I was starting to get early dementia or something and forgetful.
