Question: shine & protection

Has anyone used the product SLICK? They claim it’s a clean, shine & protectant.
Good on interior & exterior, vinyl, plastic & fibreglass. I have a 98 c5 and wanted to check before I use it.

As long as it doesn’t make the dash reflective like a lot of products like Armour All it might be ok . A lot of people complain about reflections on the windshield from similar products. Can be dangerous actually. I have never used it personally but had issues with similar products in vehicles other than my C8 . I find they also tend to grab and hold dust . Might be good for exterior rubber and vinyl bits though I’m just guessing as usual, lol.

I also find that once you go down that road you have to continue using it or it browns. I would stay away from gimmicks and use normal cleansers.

Agreed. Same idea as wax buildup. Damp micro fibre cloth is all that’s required.

I have always used Meguaires auto products. I found cheaper ones like Armor All and Turtle wax just don't cut it. Yes you need to buy separate leather cleaner, protectant, polish, wax, wash and glass cleaners but each container will last several years. Gimmicky "one product does all" stuff never really does all stuff.

I have been using 'Lucas Slick Mist' products for 25 years and swear by them. I use their interior cleaner (no shine or build up); Their tire clean, and their speed wax detailer. Really brings out the exterior shine (for those of you that haven't gone the ceramic route). Cdn tire use to carry it. Now I get it from Amazon. Nice thing about the speed wax detailer is you can spray and wipe it on the entire car first and buff after. No more doing a section at a time. Can also use it in direct sunlight.
