Why is everybody so excited to buy Pennzoil Platinum? Am I missing something? I use the Mobil 1 and have had no problems or issues. Someone please enlighten me.
I've used Mobil 1 in our car so far but have a supply of Pennzoil from an earlier sale. One is probably as good as the other so price pretty well dictates what I have stocked on the shelf. Synthetics go on sale often enough that it would be foolish to pay full price.
I use platinum on all my cars. Works great

Manny from DaSilva Motorsports recommends Pennzoil over Mobil 1 as one of his customers works at a lab where they test oil and he said Pennzoil is superior to Mobil 1 in most instances. I think for most applications and drivers either one will work well and I buy whichever is on sale and stock up. I am sure both are fine products.
