In preparation for retirement in April 2015 and our subsequent return to Nova Scotia, last weekend we drove our Vette to Nova Scotia to place her in winter storage. With winter weather coming early this year, we had to detour to the south to avoid significant amounts of falling snow in northern New Brunswick but were unable to escape about 90 mins of driving on snow covered roads in the highlands of Maine. Nothing that water couldn't wash off however and, in the end, she is now tucked away awaiting our arrival in the spring.

Farewell Ontario...hello Nova Scotia!

Awaiting spring....

Some great pictures of your adventure. Glad you made it without hitting any really tough weather, this time of the year you just never know.

Great Pics VV! Love teh picture in Maine.

At first when you were talking about storage and retirement, I thought you were going to be driving 1500 km south!

Yes, there will be some of that "drive south" in the plan as well to be sure! Brisk and snowing a bit in Ottawa this afternoon.

(PS I didn't take a pic of me with a garden hose under the car ensuring that it got a good wash after driving in the slush in Maine - not so much fun!)

HAY HAY there I beg your pardon but that was Canadian snow that landed in Maine .Ya can tell Canadian snow because the flakes look like maple leafs and taste like Molsons .

A couple of us out West here went to an autocross event yesterday!
80 cars of all types running on the course.
Cold but sunny.

They are starting to put something white on the local roads...salt, calcium, ????
Time to park our cars too.
