Hello everyone, you will have to excuse my shadow as I slowly read up and educate myself on many things Corvette.

Since I do not own a vette right now, currently I will have to live vicariously through all the amazing photos and detailed information that is on the forum here.

My wife said I may buy a Corvette in 4 years from now due to financial constraints. However that cannot stop me from dreaming as it helps the time past by.

Thanks for the great community, and hopefully I will be able to attribute to this team.
Safe travels

Matt

Welcome to the forum Matt and you are more than welcome here. Dreaming is good... Keeps us smiling.Do you have a certain model and colour in your dream?

Welcome to the forum and I appreciate your stick to it attitude. Many guys would simply have gone looking for a different and more understanding wife! There are priorities in life.

I know four years is a ways out but do you have some particular generation or model in mind?

Best of luck and again welcome.

Welcome Matt. A wise man said - "All comes to those who wait" ....... unfortunately, waiting is a PITA but your turn will surely come! Good on you for educating yourself and enjoying the various points of views of a great many corvette owners here. And its not all about corvettes here, as a relative 'newbie' myself, I find that there is plenty of material posted that just makes you laugh ..... LOL

Matt.. a big Corvette welcome to you.
Good luck with your search..
There is lots to read here to educate yourself as to what you are looking for.

I think if you start with some reading and set some goals you may be in a Corvette before 4 years.

Graham

Welcome Matt. Glad you’re willing to commit to a Vette. My passion began as a long haired, trouble making punk when I was 15. Lol. I stayed long haired and somewhat a punk for awhile after that but the desire never left my heart. It took me until March of 2014 to get my first and only one so far. I only wish I hadn’t been a punk now.

Actually,it’s four years tomorrow I took possession !

Funny thing, I do have it in writing! Although it’s in a calendar it is actual pen to paper!

Currently I am leaning towards a C7 Grand Sport 2LT with a few extras in mind.

If an opportunity exists for a similar equipped Z06 as there is little difference between insurance for me. (Yes I’ve already looked into a current rate)
Either vehicle will have to be automatic. Due to health reasons and past injuries I fear I won’t have the strength to return to a manual car.

As for colour I can’t get the Watkins Glen Grey out of my mind, however the Admiral Blue just pops out to me. It will have to be a coin toss.

You can’t go wrong with any shade of blue Matt. This is my 07 with 110,000 kms on it. The blonde girl just seems to keep coming around when it’s time to go driving.  I’d have it no other way though.

True...he still is a punk!! teehee !!!

I had to wait until no one was looking.

Welcome to the CCF Matt. You have committed, in mind, to a particular Corvette ... as it's now on the internet, it's gonna hafta happen
Never hesitate to lurk around those dealerships and snap a photo to share here with the one or five that catches your attention. It would be an absolute pleasure sharing in your adventure of keeping the dream and kicking the tires and eventually finding the one when you are ready to leap .... feel free to ask all your questions right here along the way ... if brand new ... budget an extra USD$1000 for an adventure in Spring Mountain Nevada (Corvette Owner School / Experience) and also enjoy a couple of extra days in Las Vegas in celebration as well ... you'll never regret it ... Cheers !
