Busy week in CamsC8 garage!

My Stance wheels arrived in the 19/20 setup. Thx to Lee's Autoworks for the swap of stock rubber onto the new setup. I'm planning to lower the car slightly to reduce the stock wheel gap.

Then I installed a 4-post lift yesterday. Just waiting on Home Depot to fulfill my 5/8 Concrete drill bit order then installation will be completed.

LoL...it looks like it but just haven't put stuff away yet. Four bikes and a snowmobile in that pile.

Floor isn't perfectly flat so I'm shimming it and anchoring to be safe

If the floor isn't level I certainly wouldn't bolt it down. Let the posts walk a bit and find their happy place. There is an 1 1/2” difference on mine front to back. No issues or worries.

I've done that moving the lift up and down a few times. Seems to have settled where they are now. Very slight shimming required.

1.5 inches front to back is ok as long as the posts are plum. I had too much side-to-side slope, so I shimmed the lift and bolted down. WAY more stable now.

Do any of you have the center rolling jack for your 4 post lifts? Was just wondering if the arms on the jack come out wide enough to reach the C8 lifting points

It doesnt fit on a C7.

That is what I figured and the C8 looks even wider than a C7.

I use the alternate lifting points on the front and rear as directed by GM.

How tall is your truck? My hoist goes higher than 6 feet. (Murray = truck ignorant)

I don't see a need to bolt it down either. Even if there is a 1.5 inch height difference. All the weight is inside the posts. Center of gravity is weigh inside. (Pun intended)

77 " with a two inch front level kit. Max height of lift is 82" but the fixed locks are at about every 5 inches so I have to use the max height of the lift. It seems to have a lock at 72,77,82..

I noticed my columns weren't exactly plumb to the floor. My worry is that they will hop.

When I have the lift at its highest setting there's a front pad gap on both columns on the wall side of my garage. I'll shim then anchor to be safe. Shims came with the lift.
