1984 L83 Coupe
Hi everyone
I am in Valleyfield Quebec - 52 years old and just bought my first Vette, a 1984 L83 Crossfire, after falling in love with Corvettes 40 years ago. I found a great deal from an original owner, non-smoker and well maintained.
Plans are to redo the interior, as it is 34 years old after all, and restore the original saw blades. The immediate task is to find out why the battery dies after 6-8 hours as the old owner put a battery disconnect switch that must be used..other than that, love it!!

I don't like anything after the C3 but your 84 is the right color and has the Crossfire is why I would put that one away to kinda match mine, some of the first and last of it's kind . Car looks great shape......... shouldn't be too hard finding the power drain , good luck.

Thank you...hope to gain a lot from being on the forum and pick the brains of you pro's

Hello & Welcome ...
Ahhh the White Corvette that was beside the car I bought
from GSL Chev in Calgary in 1984.

I could afford the 1984 Z28 but kept looking at the C4 Gem beside it ... kept thinking ... maybe some day.
32 years later, I'm in a Corvette in 2016 and I truly remember that day in the past as if it was yesterday.
I know this welcome is all about you ... so ... Thank you for making this a rather decent day
and Enjoy your Gem

Welcome to the forum, nice looking car.

Only suggestion on the battery drain is to put it in a very dark garage and see if you can see a bulb glowing, maybe even dimly somewhere. Baring that start looking at grounds and make sure they are clean.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

Hi there, nice Vette! I am also a new member to the CCForum & also a new Vette owner (bought my 72 T-roof) last May (2017)! I also had the battery drain on me & discovered that the “glove box” lid in the back middle was not closing completely & therefore the light bulb was remaining on & draining the battery! I just removed the bulb! Fixed! Good luck!

Love the 72's...chrome bumpers😍
Thanks for the tip..I .checked all in the garage in pitch black and can't find anything on.I am thinking it may be the electronic dash not "disconnectin" with poor grounds and connections maybe??
