Crap! My UDM just died after 2 years! Looks like they have been bought by Porter Cable. This sucks!

Fixed it! Woohoo! I took it apart and noticed a frayed wire. The black and white were barely touching making for a mild short. This explained the erratic speeds. taped it all up to prevent further shorts and I'm back in the Vette polishing biz

Further update on what a GREAT company UDM is: They are sending me the updated replacement (aka Porter Cable 7424) for the cost of shipping $25. I am completely impressed!
I'm bringing my car over to get polished!...or maybe not. Why does Canada have to be so big?
