They must have been inoperative. Not one pic of them "popped up".You mean Air Brakes?
I think pop up headlights are stupid in today's world. Shape can be created easily with plastics as seen on C6, C7 and C8 etc.
Aww Murray, you've hurt my C4's feelings... and on C4's they don't pop up, they roll up through 180 Degrees, the grandkids think its neat. As for air brakes, I've tried,... not really effective. (LOL)You mean Air Brakes?

See? Useless as well as ugly!As for air brakes, I've tried,... not really effective. (LOL)
I had them, too. My '86 was an odd little car.Aww Murray, you've hurt my C4's feelings... and on C4's they don't pop up, they roll up through 180 Degrees, the grandkids think its neat. As for air brakes, I've tried,... not really effective. (LOL)
Cheap fix, costly diagnostic. The useless under hood lights? When I bought the vette those lights did not work. I thought easy peasy, and replaced the bulbs. Still didn't work. It took a while but I finally found the under hood fuse in the left front wheel well. The lights have worked since , but they are not bright enough to be of any use. I did once leave the center console door open. The light melted a hole, luckily on the underside. Somewhat odd I agree.I had them, too. My '86 was an odd little car.
Does yours have the under hood engine compartment courtesy light, with the automatic "on/off" mercury switch?
On mine, that little switch failed, and cost me a starter battery. It stayed on, with hood closed, and drained it overnight. More than once. I found the problem by luck one night, when I noticed a faint glow on the driveway under the car, that was not an alien encounter.Cheap fix, costly diagnostic.
Are you sure it wasn’t due to climate change?I had them, too. My '86 was an odd little car.

Yep, that's them. Useless under hood lights. Although they do drain a starter battery efficiently. The useless under hood lights? When I bought the vette those lights did not work. They have been around for at least 60 years judging by the one mounted underside of the trunk lid on my 64 Bonneville . It has a windup cord about 18 feet long so it just reaches the front of the vehicle. this one has worked for the 25 years I have had the car and amazingly still does! Goes to show they don’t make like they used to. Which in a lot of cases might be a good thing , lol .The useless under hood lights? When I bought the vette those lights did not work. I also owned a 1968 Ford LTD Country Squire 10 passenger station wagon, with the powered "garage door" headlight covers. They weren't too bad for reliability.
Brings back fond memories. Just remember to replace the speaker before you drive away!We did a few reverse parking drop the tailgate, at the drive-in, evenings in that boat.
Blankets and pillows, like watching TV in bed.
Too late.Brings back fond memories. Just remember to replace the speaker before you drive away!
