This is a new one for me......for the first time since October, I uncovered The Beast today and activated the instrument panel, was pleased to find everything in order and working. But then I noticed a reflection from the dome light near the console, and found the mirror glass laying in front of the M/T shift lever. No apparent damage though, I guess luck was with me in that aspect.

I'm thinking that the extreme cold we had in January for a couple of weeks likely contracted either the glass itself or the base, and the movement caused the adhesive to let loose.

Wondering if I could use some kind of adhesive to resecure the glass to the mirror base once the warmer weather gets here (if it does actually get warmer, no sign of that in the near future).

Any suggestions from others on this? Anyone else heard of similar problems or have a suggestion as to what kind of "goo" I should use to put that puppy back into place?

I have the base Stingray, so it's the manual mirror for dimming following lights, not the fancy electronic automatic dimmer system.

Thanks in advance,

Late Life Crisis.
