Idle changed not good.Any thoughts

my 85 tpi with DN 4 spd, drove it to work. all good came out at lunch and went up town. half way to store it started idling at 1500 clutch in no a/c on. drove like on cruise all gears. got back to work and was at 15 still. unplugged TPS idle dropped to normal. Plugged back in and it went up. Picking up a new switch today. Does anyone have any knowledge on this?? will keep you posted.

I have no experience with that setup but it has to be a temp sensor that tells it to idle fast when cold and slow down when warms up I would think.

First time I've heard of that problem. I'm looking forward to hearing if the new sensor resolves the issue.

so story continues....... checking over things moving some wires to the tps. thought i will start car. flawless!!!! dont know what it was, drove it twice and no issues. weird......
