Welcome to the forum. Great looking Corvette. Enjoy it.

Thanks everyone for your welcomes & good wishes...much appreciated :canada: To answer Riley's question on what I've found to be the biggest differences between my former C5 and the C7 - 7th gear is great...drops the rev's on the highway at 120 KPH from 1700 in 6th gear in the C5, to only 1300 at the same speed in 7th on the C7...barely iding! The exterior design has blown me away since the C7 debut in 2014. Not that I need the extra 110 HP, but that's what they've bumped the base engine between the 2 gen's up to. Handling is tighter, but just as comfortable suspension-wise. Interior is nicer...better material quality even on my base model. Roof is half the weight so much easier for one person to remove. What I don't like...battery is a pain to get to under the rear hatch...under the hood on the C5 was way more convenient...although you needed to use dry cell batteries in the C5 ($200 more than a regular battery) as GM put some electronics right under the battery which would get fried if it leaked. Also there is only one tiny storage compartment in the rear hatch vs 3 in the C5. Although my C5 was a base model (I bought it used at age 6) it had seat/mirror memory and a self dimming rearview mirror. These were individual options back then for next to nothing $ wise...now to get these you have to get the 2LT package at $4,500, which was out of my budget range. That and heated seats which are part of the same package, which I would have liked. Ironically our 2 family vehicles (Subaru's) which added together were less expensive new than the C7 both have heated seats! But these are trivial things...overall I absolutely love the C7 and am glad that I bought it. If GM doesn't re-introduce a manual transmission going forward, then this will also - sadly - be my last Vette.

Do you not have paddle shift?

Thanks! Almost a year now & 3,500 kms of extremely enjoyable driving. Been very therapeutic during the virus situation, being able to jump in and drive to nowhere in particular.
Are the roads freshly paved and the hotels nice to stay in at nowhere in particular? Just wondering as it sounds like a nice place to go. 😇
