Headlights possesed

I have a 2001 coupe and the headlights will suddenly pop up at unexpected times, even during a bright sunny day. Does anyone have a solution to this problems?

Can't remember where the sensor is to turn the head lights on but I wonder if it is dirty or partially covered. Seems to me it is on the dash. Possible the only cure is a C7 Z06.
