Can anyone recommend a shop in southwestern Ontario London area that can replace the gears in the headlight motors. I’m a little nervous taking this project on as a DIY.

I did mine. There is an excellent tutorial, I think its on the Corvette Central website. It is a bit tricky, but doable. No special tools needed, just some patience.
In mine the gears were fine, it was just the nylon bearings which tend to turn into dust. At the time parts were 5 bucks and I did both motors in an afternoon.
