This is the same dark cloud that Oshawa is under. GM just hasn't announced it yet. Oshawa has nothing on the books to build past 2016 from what I understand. The new Chevrolet SS is Australian made. I heard this a while back -- not good for all the employees in Aus .... and if Oshawa closes it would be devastating for all those guys too.

GM exists inspite of itself. My daily driver is getting on in years and I was looking at cars online. Great Mother of God why does GM have so many models? Rhetorical question guys
For a long time now, management has been totally out of touch with reality. At one time the company was headed up with car people. Now bean counters run the show and have no idea what people want. They just look at the bottom line and try to fudge the numbers to get the results they want. It didn't work before and won't work now. Nothing has changed since 2008. Keep doing the same thing and you will get the same results is a true old phrase. The American government sold off the last of their GM stocks taking a pretty stiff loss. It makes a person wonder why they would do that if GM is actually on good financial ground. Hmmmmm.
Moving production to Mexico, India and China? Seems to be the trend. So many big companies are removing resources from NA to cheaper locations to remain competitive. Such sort sightedness. Sort term gain while destroying the future of our country.
