While on the Audi R8, I like the contrasting side scoop “blade,” on the C8 I am going to prefer it body colored (smoother look IMO).

My guess is that as GM is increasing realizing that aftermarket sales are losing them tens of millions, maybe a full $1B annually, and as GM has recently been upping their game by adding more factory orderable options and more accessories (dealer and customer installed), we will see three different scoop trim options on the car:

* Body colored;
* Carbon flash metallic black paint (a la the C7);
*Visible carbon fiber

Maybe even a fourth option, that one could order contrasting painted colors other than black.

Sorry to digress, for we already have a thread discussing this:
A C8 without any contrasting scoop trim?
