I got an allocation last week and was advised that I have to pay new MSRP because my order was in status 1000...For those that have received in the last 2 or 3 weeks did you have to pay the new MRSP with the rIse of price ?
(sory for my English)
My dealer told me I was at 1000 (order hold at dealership) and not 1100 this why not price protected... the dealership explained me that once they have an allocation, then change the order to 1100 and after match to allocation and go to 2000. This is the way they proceed... I guess not all dealership use the system the same way....Hmmmm. It was my understanding that 1100 was price protected if your order was entered before March 1st (I think the deadline was the 1st?). If you signed an offer to purchase it should be price protected for sure.
Ya, same for me. Had to pay more for the car itself, front lift, and Z51.I got an allocation last week and was advised that I have to pay new MSRP because my order was in status 1000...in my case it's a 3K$ increase.
Ahh, sorry didn't catch that the first time. So they didn't even enter it in Workbench! Ya, some dealers act like that. Pity for you.My dealer told me I was at 1000 (order hold at dealership) and not 1100 this why not price protected... the dealership explained me that once they have an allocation, then change the order to 1100 and after match to allocation and go to 2000. The blogger made an error:This is a good article. Would apply to any year car.

Just picked up my car this week and was at 3400 when GM announced the price increase and my dealer told me it doesn’t apply to me since my car was being built that week. But my invoice showed the higher price on the 3LT HTC as well as on the shocks/front lift and Z51 options. When asked dealer his response was that this is what he was billed from GM. So I guess there was no price protection even at 3400For those that have received in the last 2 or 3 weeks did you have to pay the new MRSP with the rIse of price ?

Should this have come off before I paid. I gave them the full amount of the bill of sale and there was no mention of future rebate. Would someone know who to contact at GM Canada aside from the dealerYou are absolutely price protected. The window sticker will have the new pricing but the dealer gets reimbursed by GM for that price increase, they are suppose to pass that on to you.
Thanks. I’ll follow up on MondayThe MSRP of the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe and convertible at all trim levels will increase by $1,000 beginning March 1. Customers who have event code 1100 sold orders and beyond by March 2 will not be impacted by the price increase on the 2021 Corvette Stingray. We monitor and adjust pricing on all our products regularly, and we’re confident the Corvette remains a winning formula of performance and attainability.
This was the message GM sent out. Dealerships are either playing dumb or as per usual, the General Manager probably doesn't have a clue.
I'd send the regional GM manager a message if you don't want to pull teeth with the dealer because most likely they don't want to go digging for the message. I'm not sure where you can get a copy but i think its on CorvetteForum floating around, if you can get a copy and know where the dealer can pull it from, it should be simple enough to get them to look into it as well.
Thanks. I’ll follow up on Monday
