lol . Since the strike ended I have received 4 flyers and a credit card offer from Capital One. Good info Murray . Thanks for sharing. This will clear up a lot of speculation and confusion. And thanks to Mr Corvette of course. The closest place I can get mine done is 1,000 km away as the local GM dealer will see me only as I drive past flipping the bird . Does leave me a narrow window when the time arrives but I love a road trip. Just have to watch the timing.I just received a reminder letter in snail mail yesterday about the DCT service schedule. Anyone else get one?
No harm. Simply a waste of money.I understand that it will not be beneficial, but it will also not hurt the car, and since i am doing the labour myself, the cost will be significantly reduced.
I received letter yesterday as well. I ordered transmission fluid 6 weeks ago as the fluid in my 2020 is over 4 years old. The transmission fluid life monitor is still showing 80% which can no longer be considered as valid based on the age of the fluid. There seems to be a run on transmission fluid since GM has been issuing letters about the service requirements for the transmission. I've also noticed that some GM parts suppliers have listed the fluid as no longer available for sale (see below).I just received a reminder letter in snail mail yesterday about the DCT service schedule. WTF ?
It was the part about the TX fluid no longer being available that I was referring to. I am not seeing the remaining life of my TX fluid in the My Chevrolet app . Just that the filter has to be replaced by 12,000 km . I will be at the three year mark when I hit 12,000 km and will change the fluid when the TX service is performed. If there is fluid available which you would think should be available. Bizarre situation.Part of the letter is shown below (note highlighted sections). My car has less than 6,000km which may explain why my fluid life is showing 80%

Ya, I question that. Perhaps the part number has changed because of an improvement to the fluid etc.It was the part about the TX fluid no longer being available that I was referring to. I got one Friday.I just received a reminder letter in snail mail yesterday about the DCT service schedule. Anyone else get one?
My experience in checking around for transmission fluid is some GM parts suppliers will sell it and others won't (example that was provided). I ordered 12 liters early December and was told by the GM part supplier I typically deal with that they had to get it from the USA. I called them the other day to check order status and they can't get an ETA for delivery. I hope it arrives before the driving season starts. It was the part about the TX fluid no longer being available that I was referring to. You would certainly think that GM Corvette dealers must be getting it somewhere to do scheduled maintenance. Could it be that they are making it difficult to get for the motoring public and independent shops to encourage owners to go to dealers for service? My first conspiracy theory for 2025 , lol.My experience in checking around for transmission fluid is some GM parts suppliers will sell it and others won't (example that was provided). To be honest, that was my first thought as well especially after seeing some part stores will no longer sell it over the counter. You would certainly think that GM Corvette dealers must be getting it somewhere to do scheduled maintenance.
