Cruise Control issue

I had someone e-mail telling me the only way he can get his C5 cruise control to work on the highway is to disengage his traction control.
This sounds ridiculous, has anyone else experienced this issue and if so what was the cause and resolve or fix? My past C5 cruise always worked with traction control on as that was the default setting and honestly I don't know if I ever tried cruise with it disengaged.

I've never noticed what mode the car is in when I've had cruise on. I know I always have TC/AH active on my car and haven't tried it with it off.
Does he have any codes coming up where maybe there is a sensor for the active handling that needs to be replaced?

Confirmed no error and it is a 6 speed Z06 C5.
