I have a '17 Stingray that I recently purchased. With a light brake application ( slow traffic, drive thru, entering the garage etc) there is a fairly loud metallic click from the front wheel area. I've read some of the explanations on the forum but they refer to a relay. This is not a relay sound. Any other ideas? I am assuming its a caliper related issue.
I'm into the dealer next Tuesday but would like a few real life ideas in case they say, "normal".....
Thanks for any help.

Have you had the car from new? Were the brakes ever changed, if so at a reputable garage or dealer?
If the pads have been changed or cleaned up, the ends that sit in the caliper might have been ground down a bit to clean the rust and crud off and now have too much clearance causing the clicking noise when applying the brakes.

No, the car is new to me. 45,000km. I have the service history and see no brakes ever replaced. Serviced but not replaced, so your explaination, matches my thoughts, and makes good sense. I purchased from a reputable dealer, so I'm not real concerned at this point. I'm sure they'll have no issue with showing me the condition of the brakes once the wheels are off. Thanks a ton for the input, its nice to know someone else is on the same page.
