I saw a screen print capture showing the three different amounts of “taillight” width to create the sequential effect.

My '67 Cougar had signal lights that worked like that.

By no means am I an Audi fan, but I saw one on the road yesterday, and it was my 1st time seeing the rear signal light. Such a smooth / fluid like motion.
