C5 Cabin Filter?

Can't find a cabin filter anywhere in my newly acquired 1998 C5 !? My C6 does have one under the cowling behind the battery. Also, no cabin filter mentioned in the owner's manual. So I assume the C5 just didn't have one. Does anyone know why?

Thanks. I figured as much since I couldn't find it. I wonder why, though. Does anyone have an idea why they decided to go without a cabin filter in this model. My C6 has one again....

Maybe the cabin filter deal didnt start until the C6 came around.

Cabin filters were brought in after the mice complained they had nowhere to nest.
