C3 automatic gear knob removal 1979

Hi all,
Has anyone removed the gear knob, I know it unscrews and has a spring, is there any surprises I should know before hand.

If it’s like my 77 the button on top unscrews and has a spring under it. The knob just screws as well.

No surprises. Just screw the button and knob off as mentioned.
