Question bell housing

So it was the Mile Zero Cruisers car show this weekend, and took the start of my 78 down. Had good feedback, as most people only see the finished product.
One thing I was wondering about and I cant remember when i took the old motor out, is if the bell housing bolts were flanged of not. I ended up just using a washer, should they be flanged?

Looks good George. Flange bolts would look better, but who would actually see them. I think you could go either way.

Guess it comes down to I know that they are there and how picky do i want to be.
