Hi all, just a brief update for the BCCC day at the MOPAC Friday Night Drag on the 12th. The weather forecast looks good…a mainly sunny afternoon and early evening….with temps around 22 at 4 pm dropping to 15 near 8 pm. Gates open at 4 pm. We are hoping to but up our tent closer to the tower at 4 pm and all Corvette people are welcome to park around the tent. $10 if you are a spectator and $50 if you are participating in the drag races. Free if you are a Mission resident or under 12. Pay at the gate and then proceed to where the BCCC tent is located. Spectators can sit in the bleachers next to the drag strip. Rules are located at missionraceway.com. Most noticeable rules: participants must wear an approved helmet, and long pants, and non nylon clothing. If you have any questions let me know here. Should be fun and we will try and have Corvettes drag other Corvettes. I told the C8 Mr ZR1 about the corvette night and he might make an appearance…he supposedly can do the 1/4 mile in the 8’s. Should be fun for all. See you there!

Thanks to all who participated. We had approximately ten cars with six being active participants. Best time was a C8 E-Ray doing the 1/4 mile in 10.6 sec at 125 mph. Mr C8-ZR1 did make a guest appearance but did not race. Hopefully we do this again next year! Cheers!
