Did you get these powder coated locally, who did them? I want to do 2 sets, what did it cost?
looking for Durham region/Peterborough area suggestions for someone to do this (hopefully)

I've used Taunton Tire to weld a cracked rim on my wife's BMW many years ago. They did a good job. I didn't know they do powder coating. I hear Flash Fire does a good job.

I've yet to need anything powdered coated, but i've seen a wide variety of car, truck, and motorcycle parts done. They all look consistant.....really good. Sort of impossible to see any differences. Maybe price is a factor, but it's not an expensive process.....masking off properly seems to be key.

Yes, we want the tire off the rim to apply the powder coat.
Satin black looks good. I might like it better than gloss black.

Yes, I believe oven temps get up to 300-400F to melt the powder. Too hot for rubber, or seals etc.
Thanks for all of the info..I am going to stick with the 5 spoke carbon flash. I am fine with them and the $/time saved to do powder coat with labour to remove and remount rubber not really worth it IMO
I really like the look of the satin finish. If I’m lucky enough to get my car this year it will definitely be a winter project to get the stock rims powder coated.
