2016 Prices?

First 2016's are supposed to start rolling off the production line June 22nd. And if you remember last year some of the first cars arrived at the dealer, still without pricing being established yet ( think the pricing came out a couple days after the first cars arrived ). So my guess would be between June 22nd and maybe the 10th July.

Thanks Smack. This is exactly what I needed to know.

Looks like there was a hint of the US prices today. Not sure it helps since we don't know how GM Canada will shift due to currency.

~ 2016 Corvette Pricing Update

Final pricing will be available later this month, but to help with customer inquiries below are a few highlights that can be shared:

- All models will receive a $400 increase to base MSRP
- Twilight Blue Design Pkg price (ZLD) = $3500 MSRP
- Spice Red Design Pkg price (ZLE) = $3500 MSRP
- Black Suede Design price (ZLG) = $3995 MSRP
- C7.R Edition coupe will start at $111,400 MSRP (not incl DFC)

Smack, once again I thank you.

Lol. I am getting a little desperate so I have started to cruise the used car forum to see what's there for convertibles....not much for me.

Because I am getting a pretty basic car (2LT, non Z51) I am confident I'll be in a stingray before the end of August. Well, here's hoping anyway.

If you don't have a firm handle on a dealership that has a allocation for a convertible (and a deposit on that) I would not set my expectations too high. Allocations are given to the dealers by coupe and convertible, this time of year getting a C7 for this summer has been next to impossible for most dealerships. C7's might be had but it won't be the one you want to order, perhaps the used car market will get you one but I have seen those priced above MSRP in the recent past. In Canada it has been difficult since 2013 to get a C7 if you want a car built to your specs, you have to get in line.

Last year I had to make that decision on taking a 2014 or waiting for 2015 but I was concerned about price increases, my car would have cost me $12k more as a 2015 if I had waited. GM has their C7 buyers by the short hairs, maybe that will change as demand is satisfied but I doubt prices will go down. Saw a 2007 C6 at a 'Vette show last week in Windsor, he had the original sticker in the window, it had a few options but not a Z06, price before tax $92k.

What model is the C7.R edition ... is it a Z06 or a C7 done up? I thought that is the designation for the race car.

There is a 2016 Daytona Orange convertible (Z51, 3LT, and more ....) at Westgate. They quoted me and held what I consider a fair price good to the end of last weekend at $86k. More than what I planned to spend but this car has a lot of options. I didn't/couldn't bite last weekend and the price is now at $92. A $6k increase. I believe this is due to price increases on all 2016's from GM Canada.

I have started to look into used 2015's too.

Dick,

I'm not sure how they had a 2016 on the lot since production for the 2016's doesn't start until June 22nd? Sounds like someone was feeding you a line of crap there.
