The first car phone?

I used to live 1.5 miles north of that location, if it's legit.
I was too young to be driving, and too short to reach the phone from the sidewalk. CFRB traffic chopper used to be based just north of us, just southwest of the 401. There was a golf course ther, that's all highrise condos now.

I lived very close to that also. I lived near Don Mills mall. I was 6 then, so I don't recall that phone.
I was on Grangemill Crescent, off Rippleton Rd, backing onto Leslie St. - I would have been around 4-6 or 7 years old. Went to Rippleton Rd Public School for K to 2. We lived there in the late 1950s until they opened the Ford Plant in Oakville, then we moved west. We used to go to Edwards Gardens on weekends in the nicer weather. My Mom shopped along the Golden Mile. We toboganed at the golf course in the snow season. Small world?
