What is going on with Corvette Availability?

A poster on another forum said that Corvettes were now susceptible to Canadian Chevrolet employee pricing. I have no idea if that's true or not, but it sounded like quite the discount (nearly 10%). If anyone has any idea how one goes trying to qualify for this discount, please let me know.

    Sleeping Beauty

If the C6s are like other cars with frameless windows that open slightly with normal opening of the doors, then his move is correct. Just *slightly* opening the windows will help prevent damaging the seals around said windows if he ever has to open the doors while the battery remains...

Does anyone else prefer the look of the narrow body Stingray vs the wide body GS/Z06?

I'm ready just fine, thanks. It's my special Corvette savings fund that needs more time. And again, I resolved my concerns way back on page 2. I'm quite happy with my decision and just having to bide my time.

    Still living in the 80's

Congrats! C4s were the cars that imprinted themselves on me as a young boy as the definitive sports car. I think they've aged tremendously well. Would love to get one myself (my wife is gonna KILL me).

Does anyone else prefer the look of the narrow body Stingray vs the wide body GS/Z06?

Thanks for this. Very helpful. I doubt I'd drive it much below 10 C, but I'm glad to hear that the stock wide rollers weren't automatic hydroplane donuts. I got a great laugh out of this this! Well played, sir. :Cheers2: At least it's not a recalled diesel, am I right? Hey-oooo..... [as an...

Does anyone else prefer the look of the narrow body Stingray vs the wide body GS/Z06?

I was sharing my thoughts on the forum. I got plenty of feedback which I was grateful for, and ultimately I came to my own conclusion. I continue to see nothing wrong with that. If I went into a thread you started about your car and posted something negative, that's another thing altogether.

Does anyone else prefer the look of the narrow body Stingray vs the wide body GS/Z06?

I think you should read my post higher up on this page. :) Like I said, I just needed to put my thoughts to paper, er... computer screen, to figure it out. FYI, I wasn't concerned re: the GS/Z06 stock tire quality or tread, but rather the width. Great for traction in the dry, but they'll have...

Does anyone else prefer the look of the narrow body Stingray vs the wide body GS/Z06?

Well, I think I've solved it. Turns out I don't like the narrow body look more than the widebody. Such a simple thing, really, but it actually took me putting my thoughts down in this thread to figure it all out. I made a more recent thread over on Stingrayetc, about my inability to choose...

Thank you! I'll definitely look into this.

    Dr Colorchip

According to their website, the only place that applies it in all of BC is Kelowna. That's a PITA if I need it (which I now do, bloody stones on the highway tore into my wheel well). Has anyone found a vendor willing to ship it from the US, I wonder?

Does anyone else prefer the look of the narrow body Stingray vs the wide body GS/Z06?

My automotive Venn diagrams change constantly, but they typically look something like this: 1. Power delivery 2. Handling 3. Long distance comfort The goal, for me, anyway, is to have a car that, while still a sports car, is as different as possible in experience from my 981. "1" is easy...

Does anyone else prefer the look of the narrow body Stingray vs the wide body GS/Z06?

Fabulous reply, thank you!! I'm constantly vacillating between models and not just to the GS, but even now I am also considering the Z06 (it will be fit my budget if I hold out another model year or two than planned), because even though I can't use all that power, I'm already blessed with a...

    2017 Grand Sport or shift '15 Z06 @ 5000 rpm?

I believe Tadge has come out and said the changes to the 2017 Z06 will be able to be retrofitted on the earlier year cars, so maybe that's the easiest route to go? No idea what the cost will be, however.

    2017 prices are up

From carcostcanada.com. And it's all good news. No price increase from 2016. And other posters' information that the 1LT GS will start at 75,895 was spot on. That's only 3700 more than a Z51 with MSRC. I'd say that's pretty good value. I want to order one so badly right now, but I know it's...
