    1993 Corvette - ECU/EEPROM Issues

C4 upgraded to OBD II in 1994 for the rest of the model run making the 92 and 93 OBD I cars orphans. The ECM’s are very difficult to find so a repair service is probably your best bet.

    95 LT1 Cooling fans

I almost always have A/C on in my 93 (with three row aluminum rad) and that manages temperatures perfectly but I don't much enjoy the roar from the fans or the dust that is picked up from gravel parking lots. Anyone tried SPAL fans or any other solutions to quiet things down?

    Leather Seats

Yes Sir Al Knoch does excellent interiors. I pre-arranged for his company to recover the leather seats on my 1993 while I attended Corvette Carlisle. My best recollection is that his team completed the job in a couple of hours and I couldn't have been happier with the result.

Featured Side bolster air bladder repair.

Great work, write up and photos. It's excellent to keep everything working as it was from the factory. The bladders on my C4 were shot and when I attended Carlisle I had Ernie Koch restore my seats with new foam and surfaces "without" bladders but only because as C4 owners have gotten more...

    Help Replace ECM

You are fortunate in that if you actually need a ECM for your 95 they are readily available. I also recommend Rock Auto. You need the “broadcast” number on the old one to get the correct one. ECM for 92 and 93 are like hens teeth.

    89 vette FX3 SELECTIVE RIDE

FX3 was one of the first things I removed from my 93. The FX3 shocks adjust by the switch setting “and” the speed of the car. I found that at low speeds regardless of the switch setting the rear end tended to bob up and down like the car had no shocks at all despite a visual check showed the...

    C4 quitting

As one member said electrical is very tedious so I would start by doing things that if they don’t prove to be the problem you would be happy that you serviced them anyway like cleaning all the engine harness grounds, battery/starter/alternator cables or replacing the ignition lock.

How old are you C4 owners?

    72 years young here.

    Time for new tires

I am on a second set of Nitto on my 93. Very happy with them and they come in 315 for the rear on my 11” grand sport reps. After putting 11” on the rear the stock look is a bit wimpy for my taste.

Chrome rims and exhaust for a 96 collector edition convertible

Meant to say OE wheels Sarasota Florida. Even with exchange and shipping prices are good.

Chrome rims and exhaust for a 96 collector edition convertible

I’m waiting for A/Mold ZR1 replicas to come back into stock at OR wheels myself. The 9” are in stock with the 11” expected any day. These are a great fit many pics can be seen online. The polished aluminum are high shine virtually the same as chrome but with the added benefit they can be...

any 1982 crossfire owners out there?

I'm kicking around the idea of a 1979 and after a year watching the classified don't see a good one. Any advice for looking/purchasing in the US?
