Just wanted to post an update here. Took a while but MBRP did help me out by giving me the fix. The valve clips were installed upside down which was causing the error and once fixed, the check engine light went away. I have the file mbrp sent but can’t upload it. If anyone needs, reach out.

That was my worry. BMW puts to park. Imagine the dude panics and leaves. He’s not locking up and putting back to P then. lol. Gotta pray you aren’t on a slope.

If you hide it and they don’t know it’s there, likely they won’t chase it. My bigger concern is, you put it in drive or reverse, they can’t do anything and you are on a driveway. Does it go to park when the door opens like a bmw or does the car continue to roll. Haven’t tried this yet.

I think if you are talking about the one I showed above it’s meant to be an emergency one you hide and tuck away. The app would be smarter. You don’t want the fob with the keys to the car. Beats the point.

No idea but imagine having to setup your custom settings and seats and all that over and over. It’s like paying for extras you can’t use. When spending $100-$150K CAD on a new vette, spend the $2K and just get a good theft system put in like the ghost system where you have to program buttons...

You want a kill switch for the ignition, not the battery. Every time you kill the battery you lose the basic settings of your car.

I’m thinking the guy had a ghost system installed or something similar. Parked outside so he added a kill system for sure. You can see the guy try to start the car a few times.

What theft protection mechanisms are ppl deploying if any on their vettes? Do you feel you need to get one better then factory?
