Anyone Past Their 5 Year Warranty on Their C8...

Information is power, and we Corvette owners should share info when we get a deal! Be it a discount on the car or on extended warranty or a maintenance package from a high volume dealer, it saves us money! At a bit under $2500, pretty much everyone that's going to drive their Corvette six...

    C9 - care to speculate?

Awesome run you've had, Sir! I loved the C2 and thought Chevy had ruined the Corvette with the C3...started loving them again with the C6 and now I own a C8. Hang in there Sir, I think you'll want to get your hands on the C9, which might be the last of the true gas burning Corvettes!

    C9 - care to speculate?

Yeah, the centre one looks killer. I might have to spoil myself...

Anyone Past Their 5 Year Warranty on Their C8...

I just got the same deal from the business manager at Bannister GM Penticton, B.C., he said it was a tight deal but he charged me $2487 plus tax for extending my 3/60 to 7/60. He mentioned that he thought Don was fine going that cheap for the 7/60,000 warranty because he was making some good...

    Winter storage question

No worries, 1st Vette, I'm fairly confident that Barry's was telling the truth about their premium in 2024, you wouldn't know when the federal mandate about all gas having to have 10% ethanol came out, would you?

    Winter storage question

Well, in Greater Vancouver and Victoria, but not in the interior...

    Winter storage question

It's NOT my hogwash, my friend. Last year, 2024, I was in the office of Barry Beecroft Fuels and asked for confirmation that their premium had no ethanol. I was told it contained zero ethanol. Now if that's changed since then, and it seems to have done so, then that's unfortunate. I don't...

Buying advice for a 2025 Corvette

I'd get a 2LT for a decent interior, and a few extras that are nice to have. I got the Z51 package to make it a true sports car (awesome cornering) and the mag suspension...which you can adjust to touring when you're just driving down a boring stretch of highway, and then when you get some...

    Winter storage question

Hmmmm, I'd heard they work, mothballs, but I guess not. I doubt there's any rodents in my garage, but I guess I'll stick to Bounce sheets inside.

    Winter storage question

Yeah, you're right. They changed it awhile ago and now it contains ethanol...I wasn't aware of this as I've been fueling up at a cardlock the past few years, which saves me some money. The premium gas at my cardlock supposedly doesn't contain ethanol.

Showcase 2026 Chevrolet Corvette 2LT - Z51 Package - New Interior Design [Deleted]

I prefer my 2025 interior....just sayin'...I'm sure plenty of people will prefer the new design. The older design is more driver-centric and looks more distinctive.

    Winter storage question

Oil change before you park it, Stabil in the tank and then fill with non-ethanol unleaded, like Chevron's 94, at least one pound of silica gel dessicant inside the car, and I've heard a tray of moth balls under the engine keeps rodents away. Bounce sheets at the wheels and inside are also...

Hybrid System Of The Gran Turismo Concept. What This Mean?

Yeah, the 5.5 gets 12mpg city and 19mpg hwy., versus 15 city and 27 hwy. for the 6.2. E-Ray is 16mpg city and 24mpg hwy., the electric motor isn't set up to improve efficiency, but just to add power.

    Oil Testing

Is this fuel dilution an issue for the 6.2 litre Stingray or just the 5.5 litre Z06?
