Well I have played around with my glass tops and found the solution for repair to my own question. I thought I would post it so if anyone has the same issue they WILL NOW have the answer..

The glass tops have a long rod that runs from the latch that open and closes which in turn pushes a pin...
I have glass T-tops on 1980 and wondering if anyone has had to repair the rod extension and bushing ? mine seems to have popped half way out at the bottom and will not move this is the rod which runs down from latch to pivot hole on rear of glass. Anyone with experience dealing with this issue...
