    62 Diff Bearing

Got a problem removing an axle and bearing assy from my 62 diff. Tried all the usual slide hammers etc--no go. Bearing is probably rusted in or there is an interference fit. Is there a broaching tool? OR Do I chain the axle to a power pole and give the axle one heck of a pull (after...

    1960 CORVETTE RESTORATION

Installed a steroids power steering unit C/w supplied steering column which fitted directly to my original 62 steering wheel. So have single digit steering which is a bit touchy so am fitting a pressure regulator to drop pump pressure.A subframe with newer style suspension would be nice. Bob

    Hoods opening without warning.

How about pulling the fuse on the actuator or installing a momentary on toggle switch inline and under the dash to disable the actuator until GM comes up with and onboard fix? A techno person could come up with a fix somewhere inline to the actuator.

Hi Ken-wish it would stop raining. I had to change from the stock rims because I wanted disc brakes. Rear conversion next winter. I think I saw on the us forum that c2 stock rims would fit over the calipers. I will ask around when traveling BC at the end of July. The brake conversion for front...

best hood release cable for 62?

Good Morning! I looked for a release cable 5 years ago and finally purchased one from a corvette supply place. Help Any one have experience replacing / installing the metal door panel tops to new door panels ??

Yup! It wasn't easy aligning the metal plates up to the door panel. We used pop rivets (stainless Mandrel) and made sure they did not interfere with the fit. Put the metal on the door then attached the door panel and marked where the edge of the panel hit the metal both ways, took it apart...

    Question Clutch spring

Hi I watched every video on u tube about putting the dash on! In the end I used an assortment of clamps, straps and jigs and still ended up with a 1/8 misalignment at the speaker hole--speaker grill covered this problem. Wait till you put the windshield back in and the rubber puckers at the...

help with passenger side of hood not opening

Well I did it! you need to remove splash panel under battery and reach up in front of the battery and to the outside of the fan air duct past the heater box. I used my left arm. You will feel the lock bracket with the release arm situated on the outer side of the bracket. Push the arm to the...
