How to Post an Article and Reply to Threads
Crearing and replying in threads
Posting a New Article (Thread)
- Navigate to the Forum Section
- From the homepage, click into the forum category where your article belongs (e.g., News, Events, Technical, etc.).
- Click "Post Thread"
- On the top right of the forum section, you’ll see a “Post thread” button.
- Click it to open the thread editor.
- Enter a Title
- In the “Enter your thread title here…” box, type a clear, descriptive title for your article.
- Example: “Corvette C8 Maintenance Tips”.
- Choose a Prefix (Optional)
- Some sections allow you to add a prefix (e.g., For Sale, How-To, Event).
- This helps organize content.
- Write Your Article
- In the large editor box, type your article.
- Use the formatting tools (bold, italics, bullet points, links, images) to make it clear and engaging.
- Add Tags (Optional)
- Tags help others find your post.
- Example: C8, Maintenance, DIY.
- Set Options
- Tick “Watch this thread” if you’d like notifications when others reply.
- Tick “and receive email notifications” for email updates.
- Attach Files (Optional)
- Click Attach files to upload photos, PDFs, or documents.
- Post Your Thread
- When ready, click “Post thread” at the bottom.
- Your article will now appear in the selected forum section.
Replying to a Thread
- Open the Thread
- Browse to the discussion you want to reply to.
- Scroll to the Reply Box
- At the bottom of the thread, you’ll find a reply editor.
- Type Your Message
- Enter your reply in the text box.
- Use formatting or add images/files if needed.
- Quote Someone (Optional)
- To reply to a specific user, click the Reply button on their post.
- Their message will be quoted in your reply.
- Post Your Reply
- Click Post reply to publish your message.
- Your reply will appear immediately in the thread.
