LUXURY TAX

Has anyone got a ruling from the CRA regarding the Luxury Tax if you placed you order before Jan 01 2022. I placed my order with a GM dealer in BC on Feb 25 2021 with a deposit. They got an allocation yesterday and I placed my order. They phoned me this morning stating that I have the pay the luxury tax. I forwarded them a copy of the act showing that if I placed the order before Jan 01 2022 it would be except. They told me that they will not except my order unless I pay the tax. $20,860.00 plus 15%.
