For the average guy it's pretty tough justifying the money between a Stingray and either of a Z06 or an E-Ray.
I will probably still buy the E-Ray when (and if) my allotment comes, but realistically, it's not often you'll hear me complain about how long it took to reach 150 mph.

I agree, the time spent with my foot to the floor of my 2021 stingray in 19,000KM can be counted in minutes, but I do believe that I will drive the E-Ray more aggressively due to the AWD and lack of wheel spin.

I could be way off base here but I would take this quote one step further and say with price increases and everything else is it not pushing the E-Ray and the Z06 just that much further away for the average guy!
Couple that with once you hit 60 MPH then what? Where I live best not be caught having fun you will be nailed, so it back to the 0 to 60 then hit the cruise. That is what my BMW bike was built for competing it in 2.6.
Now don't get me wrong given the right temps I have been known to let the C8 out just a tad but it is short lived. Unless you are going to Track it, does all of this extra matter?

Other than bragging rights, nope.
I'm sure there are a few out there that'll truly appreciate the differences, but for the majority of E-Ray or Z06 Owners, it's all about having the 'best' available.
I'm 'allowed' to say this because I'm one of them (well, I will be, one day).

you are correct, and does extra matter? that is a question i ask myself every day, and the longer i think the more excuses i find that yes it does ;)

To a point I agree. But. Punching that pedal for 0 - 60 and feeling that power unleash, even if only for a few seconds, puts a big smile on our faces. And being able to pass that slow moving motorhome in 100 feet means something too...

But you can do this easily in any of the C8 models - ya don't need to scare the bejesus out of the poor farmer as you do roll on by :)
No, no. It's the cows milk he's trying to spoil! ;)

I did not wish to start another thread but I did do some further " Build and Price " as my heart was saying oh it might be worth it to look at ordering a new E-Ray only to find out spec for spec it was going to be the better part of $ 72,670 more to go move into a 2LZ AWD virtually identical spec'd E-Ray over a 2023 - 2LT Stingray Plus Taxes. I did the same for moving into a 2024 Stingray and also for a Z06 - almost $80k more for a Z06 - honestly add in my taxes on the difference is the car that much better? I think its about 75% more to move into E or Z option. I simply cannot see that even being an option. Was an interesting exercise to say the least... lol

Thanks to the luxury tax. Otherwise I think the Eray price is quite fair compared to the stingray

" Price quite fair " , noting it's luxury to luxury tax equal, just more of it. Your adding cermic brakes ( 10k ) , wide body kit ( 10k? ) , upgraded wheels ( 2.5k ), adding front engine assembly, batteries all in at approx ( $35k ) all of which I would say between a nicely loaded c8 stingray, with lift, mag ride, dual roof, appearance, npp exhaust to an eray identical spec - $56k plus hst does seem like a good deal! It's a lot of car ...
